Further info about our tour

From Jamor river’s mouth to Cabo-Raso, along the beautiful coastal landscape, you can be surprised by the diversity of sea and coastal bird species. The list of species to be seen includes  Oystercatcher, Turnstone, Sanderling, Dunlin, Sandwich tern, Yellow-legged,  Lesser and Great Black-backed Gulls and Mediterranean, Common and Ring-billed Gulls.  In the rocky coast of Cascais you will be able to see Shag and Cormorant and, with a bit of luck, a Peregrine chasing a Rock Dove. Out in the sea, you can see some Gannet, Balearic Shearwater, Razorbill, Skuas, among other species.

In the area of Oeiras we can even watch some Crested Myna, a species brought to Portugal from Asia in the 90’s.

In the full day tour you can also visit a few of Cascais’s emblematic places and have a coffee at a local cafeteria with a beautiful view over the Atlantic Ocean. We also include a visit to CIAPS (Pedra do Sal Interpretation Centre).

We will book your lunch at one of the fishermen’s most typical restaurants in Cascais.
